I enjoyed The Multicultural festival this weekend at the bandstand. I enjoyed the different dance groups, singers, and bands that performed. The vendors selling books, T- shirts, bags, jewelry, art and food. Most of all people in the community coming together to celebrate their culture and have fun.
This place is really a huge value to the community. Membership is extremely reasonable and facilities are more than adequate. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. NYC Parks needs to offer up some more funding for renovations and equipment because I've seen some of the other rec centers downtown and they're clearly getting more support and attention. We deserve the same.
Alvin Ailey workshop on African/ Hip-Hop was phenomenal! Plus I have attended a performance and another time DJ ing with my kind of old school music. Awesome venue to come together.
This beautiful neighborhood park is beautifully situated in the center of Harlem off of West 145th Street it has the public swimming pool it has play areas for kids the only deficit for the park is there isn't a proper dog run but other than that it's beautifully kept it beautifully manicured and a great place for an intimate picnic and I definitely enjoy our times here.
Very nice park with a beautiful public Olympic six swimming pool and its great for exercising walking from up and down the hill via steps. My favorite part of the park is the section that runs on Edgecombe Ave from 145 Street to 153 Street with benches , beautiful flowers with trees lined on one side and the opposite side are residential apts buildings . It’s best for relaxing , hanging out with residents neighbors and sometimes a little BBQ picnic. Mr Softies ice cream trunk occasionally passed by with sweets treats for everyone
Nice and quiet. Not really any non-playground space, but paths are nice when no people on them.
Pretty nice sized public park. It has nice recreational spaces, and pool open in the summer. There are several kids playgrounds open, which are well kept. Some wooded areas need attention with the litter.
Great for leisurely strolls and cardio workouts with the steep terrain on the Edgecombe Avenue side of the park. Great recreational facilities too.
